About Kelsey
Hi, I’m Kelsey. I live in Golden with my husband and our two dogs, and I’ve always been interested in how the spaces and systems around us shape daily life.
I spent more than a decade as a software engineer, working with organizations including Aetna, TeamSnap, and startups in healthcare and reverse logistics. My work centered on making complicated processes simpler and easier for people to use. Before that, I worked at the International Monetary Fund, and I hold an MBA from the University of Colorado Boulder.
That same curiosity has always shaped how I think about homes. I notice where a space creates friction, how it makes people feel, and what small changes might make everyday life easier. I grew up helping my dad with home renovation projects, renovated my first home over nights and weekends, and later completed a DIY renovation of our current home with my husband.
After twelve years behind a computer, much of it working remotely, I wanted to do something more hands-on and connected to people. I kept finding myself absorbed in organizing projects: helping my grandmother clear out an overwhelming home and downsize, bringing order to a friend’s shed, and creating a system for my husband’s many tools. I loved both the problem-solving and the relief a more manageable space could bring.
I started Golden Blooms to bring that mix of practical problem-solving and personal care to moves, downsizing, and home organizing. When I’m not working with clients or writing my local newsletter, you can find me trail running, learning to cycle and sew, or walking our dogs by the river.
About Rachel
Hi! I’m Rachel, the Operations Manager at Golden Blooms and a Technical Program Manager with 15+ years of experience delivering complex, cross-functional programs across EdTech, EV charging, AI/ML, and digital platforms. I work behind the scenes ensuring projects run smoothly!
I started my career as a teacher, which gave me a foundation in listening, empathy, and designing user-centered experiences. After almost a decade in product and program management, I completed a full-stack software engineering program, strengthening my ability to partner deeply with technical teams, translate business needs into technical requirements, untangle multi-team dependencies, and lead large-scale integrations.
Colleagues describe me as a trusted problem-solver who brings optimism, clarity, and positive energy to every initiative. I thrive in environments of change and complexity, helping teams achieve their best work by making systems, processes, and priorities easier to navigate. To me, being clear (in roles and responsibilities, requirements, KPIs - you name it) is a form of kindness.
